This Journey

So today at church we had a lesson in Relief Society about Scriptures. We talked about the Book of Mormon. The Prophet Joseph Smith said the Book of Mormon is the keystone of our religion. I hate to admit this but I have never read the Book of Mormon all the way through. I have started than stopped for one reason or another. I am a faithful, temple recommend holding member, but I feel like my testimony could always be growing. One way to do that is to read the wonderful book that Joseph Smith translated. Ezra Taft Benson said "there is power in the book which will begin to flow into your lives the moment you begin to seriously study the book" I am excited to start receiving the power of the book.
This blog is all about my journey of reading the book.I am doing the blog mostly for myself, but I also hope it might benefit others lives as well. I will be blogging once a week about the chapters I have read, and what I have learned from them. I am not going to put anytime restraints on myself. I will read what I can when I can. I will be sure to read one verse a day. But I do have 3 young children so I am going to need to work my reading around them. Reading the book is super important to me and I am going to make time in my life for it. I am not a writer, I spell bad and do not use proper grammer but I am doing this to help myself and my testimony. I love this gospel and I just want to grow.
I hope those of you that read the blog enjoy it, I will blog every Sunday night.
